It was an unexpected trip to Birmingham for me, after being asked to help out Lincoln jets cheerleading replacing a member who moved out of town.
The competition took 2 days to complete, and theJets performed well, buthis is a parkour blog, so enough of that.
On the second day scott and myself spotted some people walking through birmingham who seemed to be training parkour, so we caught up with them and asked where they were going to be training so that we could go and meet them while we wait for our turn on the competition floor.
We met at a place called “the white walls” original I know, and despite my injured left knee the place was too tempting to not train, check out the pics below to see what I mean.
we then moved on to a place called the ponds, which was a really cool piece of architecture with 3 levels of wall and a gravel floor, staircase and a really nice running pre, which we all tried but one of the local lads was the only one to land it (I’m going to blame that on us trying to protect ourselves for the competition)
anyway, we had a great day and here is a few pics and a video of the guys in Birmingham, I guarantee i will be back for a more intensive session soon.
