Oh Hi Lol
6 July, 2008Sorry this took so long to write guys (Dale) but here it is, my post for the blog. Where to start? I’m having trouble concentrating with my sister watching TV in here. It’s hard not to get drawn into Billie Piper’s ‘because we want to’ so I’ll just get my grove on then continue…. Ok, done. So let’s start with an update of life as Jim for those I haven’t spoken to in ages. Leeds is awesome guys. It’s a really great city, really nice people, great times all round. The parkour scene is disjointed but massive and they’re all good guys. Haven’t been out with them much cos of being quite busy pretty much all year but I’ll see them lots when I get back. Also, I’m moving into an awesome huge house in Leeds with probably a spare room for people to stay in so just gimme a call if you wanna come down and we’ll sort something out. Training wasn’t great due to illness and injury so when I got the chance to get my ass back to Lincoln and sort it out I jumped at it.
It was so long ago now I can’t really regale you all with a nice story of my trip to Lincoln, but I’ll do my best. I set off from London just in time to get my train but underestimated the time the underground would take to get me to kings cross. I’m such a LDN noob. Missed the F-ing train innit. So I set off at 8 and arrived at Lincoln at 11 but who cares? I’m here, back in our parkour home. It’s time for some training, some teaching, some learning and some male bonding. Enter Jim. First stop, moving into to my new pad for the month… Stu’s caravan on his drive. Living the gippo life! Great times. Stu’s mum kept asking me if I was ok in there, I don’t think she believed me when I said it was the best place I’d slept in a month or so (The strange spots me and Stu got from Dale’s house can testify to that)
Its training time! I won’t bore you with all the details because most of the days were all the same. It’s my strength and confidence that let me down, but we can deal with that, let’s do a shed load of conditioning. At the end of it I have noticed some serious increases in my upper body strength and I’ve got no end of ideas of how to keep it up and improve more so thanks to Stu and Dale for the conditioning sessions.
Metal Gear Solid 4!
One day randomly somewhere in the middle of all this (actually if memory serves it was during my first stay but what ev, allow me creative licence) I think I was staying at Dales. As was only fair he had something to do so I went with him on account of I’d have nowhere else to go, somehow during the debacle that followed I ended up being a cheerleader. Not really sure how that one happened. But with the exception of some girl falling on my head and the friction burns me and Stu got off each other
it was all good fun.
I think I probably only went out and did parkour once since being in Lincoln but hey, it was good to see you all again, it’s really awesome to see how well LPK is doing. Stu’s round off full twisting backs! What the Hell?! My time in Lincoln was nearing its end and my sister came to pick me up from Nk. We gave Stu and Dale a lift home. It was a hell of a squeeze in the car with Stu’s disturbing gay stripper Lats and shoulders having to fit in with 2 other people. I’m home now, training continues. I’ll see you all at Trace if I don’t get a Chance to see you before then.
Love Jim
