Energise 2: April 19th 08
Well guys, What a Night eh?
Despite a few setbacks, Lincs Parkour still managed to rock it in front of the Energise Live Audience.
Serious props to everyone who took part as most will agree that it was probably one of the most stressful Jam days in LPK history.
My day started off filming some footage of Stu for a Tech project i was doing, which involved Stu running round looking like some outcast from Marvel Comics. And also involved Me wimping out to do a tiny jump about 50 foot up on top of Minds Eye roof top, which cut my filming short haha.
Then me and Stu head up to find everyone else at the green Rails where we trained for a bit then headed off to Dales. Where we crowned Stu the god of Crash Team Racing, and Lol’ed at a “Red Pills” Old video hehe. Then Me, Tumo, Stu, and Pembrey all took a Taxi to North Kesteven to teach.
We arrived pretty early and had the chance to plan our session whilst the poweriser guys still hung about in the Gym. (A damn sight cooler than badminton i have to say :P) and luckily they had already got most of the equipment out. Which made our job 10x easier, and we proceeded to teach the under 13’s session.
We tried to talk to them about what Parkour really was, Some of the Philosophy involved, and some of the Key facts. And it was nice to see that some of the kids did have a slight idea of what Parkour entails, although it will take them a lot of teaching before they truly know what Parkour is, but for a group of under 13’s its a good start.
At this point I think a lot of people were starting to panic, as the over 13’s session began as we had had no chance to rehearse or even know what the music was for the Event. We allowed the over 13 session to roam freely for their session as there weren’t that many, although there was some unnecessary behaviour (Petty Fighting and Messing about) which in upcoming session we will have to make sure doesn’t happen.
The over 13’s finished, and advanced began. We were all a bit unsure at this point, We hadn’t rehearsed or knew what music was on, and we were on in under 2 hours. The fact i bailed a simple front flip onto hard floor, just earlier didn’t help to heighten my mood.
However, Dale, Johnny Cobie and Liam did arrive and we managed to make a very simplistic and rushed plan of what we were doing. A lot of people were messing about however and weren’t listening which really didn’t help. Especially when some of us were really trying to make this performance good.
We took taxis to the Event, and had some last minute talks and preparations. And then we were up.
The even turned out to be a big success, and we managed to pull it off professionally, despite the fact we were improvising constantly hahaha. The fact that the stage was falling apart didn’t help either, although we managed to overcome this and performed well.
Heres the video for yourself to judge our Performance. Enjoy

awesome really enjoyed this one for the lack of preparation it was a really good show and in a way i thought it was allot better then the last one because of the fact there was always something going one everyone was looking all over because we were all out there rather then the first show where there was just one performing at once in some parts, awesome show wait to do the next one
