The first date back is Sunday the 24th July 2011 and will run from 2pm till 4pm.
This will be a weekly event and everyone is welcome to come, from newbies to seasoned traceurs / gymnasts / cheerleaders / trickers.
Well guys, after an extremely enjoyable and enlightening few days in the Peak District with the University of Lincoln Parkour and some guest appearances from LincsPK, the video footage has started coming in.
Over the next few days there will be 3 individual edits of similar footage based around this epic adventure and the first of these clips is from none other than Kieran Broadbridge himself:
I will keep updating the videos as they come in but enjoy this one as it is
I also want to state a personal thank you for everyone who came along and made this such a memorable trip, hopefully we can continue this as an annual trip and try to make it bigger and bigger every year !
After my move to Leeds, most of the sessions in Lincoln ended, so we have made an agreement to supply Parkour classes and events to North Kesteven Council over the summer as part of their Outreach programme.
Which means I am happy to report that the Saturday classes in North Kesteven Sports Centre are returning as of the 6th of August for a 5 week run. Not only that but we are running 15 other events over the summer across Lincolnshire and Leeds
The dates are posted in the Dates section of the site, which will be updated monthly and any changes will be posted there in the future.
So you may have noticed that the Lincs Parkour Blog has gone through a few changes, and become the SingleBound Blog.
To clear up a few issues I just want to note that SingleBound is not the new name for Lincs Parkour. Lincs Parkouris its own community and has its own identity. SingleBound is not a rival or split off from Lincs Parkour.
SingleBound is a way of differentiating the coaching we do from the community training side. This may seem counter-productive at first, but we want the Lincs Parkour community to stay independent of business and focus on Parkour, even though there is a large crossover in the classes and sessions we do.
It is important that we seperate the two entitys in name as SingleBound also includes coaching in Leeds and hopefully further if needed, and that’s it really.
If you have any questions please post below, or on the Facebook group
Congratulations are in order for Stuart Palmer, who after leaving us last summer has finally Passed out from the Royal Marines – Kings Squad 116 Troop.
We went down to the training base to watch his pass out parade on friday, and were thoroughly impressed with the precision timing and discipline these guys have. a great deal of hard work must have gone into it, and even harder work into passing in the first place, the obstacle course looked EXTREME
He is off to his first stationing this week, and we know he is going to be an awesome marine, but let’s have a quick look at some of the older days.
It was an unexpected trip to Birmingham for me, after being asked to help out Lincoln jets cheerleading replacing a member who moved out of town.
The competition took 2 days to complete, and theJets performed well, buthis is a parkour blog, so enough of that.
On the second day scott and myself spotted some people walking through birmingham who seemed to be training parkour, so we caught up with them and asked where they were going to be training so that we could go and meet them while we wait for our turn on the competition floor.
We met at a place called “the white walls” original I know, and despite my injured left knee the place was too tempting to not train, check out the pics below to see what I mean.
we then moved on to a place called the ponds, which was a really cool piece of architecture with 3 levels of wall and a gravel floor, staircase and a really nice running pre, which we all tried but one of the local lads was the only one to land it (I’m going to blame that on us trying to protect ourselves for the competition)
anyway, we had a great day and here is a few pics and a video of the guys in Birmingham, I guarantee i will be back for a more intensive session soon.
A few weeks back, members of LPK took part in a slow motion video shoot for a university project. The video, directed by Arnau Hernández Trilla and filmed by Andreu Peiris can be seen below. Watch in full screen at 720…go on, you know you want to.
so quite a long time ago I promised two of our branston guys i would post their video online, and although I was impressed with them taking what they have learnt outside, i was waiting for a higher quality one to be made, and here it is.
Guy and Tom training Parkour in and around Branston.
although I don’t agree with the big drops, although everyone has their own way, I’m happy that they are taking what they are learning outside and building their knowledge of Parkour though use and not just at classes.
